We began with gold, recognizing that it's a common purchase at some point in everyone's life. Hachem Mohanna
Co-Founder & CEO
Raised in Egypt, Hachem earned his M.Eng and M.Sc in France and Canada before starting his career as a technologist in Telecom. After his MBA from INSEAD, he moved to Dubai to work in Management Consulting with Kearney, after which he headed the PMO and Ventures Initiatives at Emirates Post. Hachem has been involved with various startups internationally through PalmTree Ventures, a boutique ecosystem player he founded focused on disruptive technologies and impactful business models.
Ali Elgamal
Co-Founder & CTO
Ali, an alumnus of Cairo and Nile Universities in Egypt and INSEAD in France for his MBA, began his career at IBM Egypt. He later co-founded Healint in Singapore and developed the 'Migraine Buddy' App as its CTO. He then moved on to establish Agoda's Software Engineering team in Singapore before taking on the role of Head of Technology at Gojek, Indonesia's first Decacorn and its largest Super-App, serving over 50M transacting users annually.
Robin Lee
Chairman
Robin is a crucial figure in the gold industry. He founded HelloGold, the first mass-market gold wallet in Asia. He is the former CFO of the World Gold Council and the principal accounting officer for the $50bn gold fund SPDR GLD. Robin developed the world’s first wholesale kilo gold contract and a sovereign gold-backed bond concept.
